Bald eagle swooping down to grab a fish with the Chugach Mountains, Alsaka in the background
It is estimated that over 3,000 Eagles migrate to Kachemak Bay off Homer, Alaska, each October – November. Utilizing a wide-angle 24-70mm lens at 36mm, I pre-focused in manual mode while holding my camera close to the water. With trial and error, I was able to frame this eagle as it swooped down for a meal with the Chugach Mountains in the background.
